TIP

This experimental visual-attention round does not claim to physiologically widen the visual field or transfer to faster general reading.

PURPOSE OF THE EXERCISE

Line tracking and visual attention

A short experimental attention warm-up using a calm centre marker.

What might this practice support?

This exercise may support noticing and deliberately practising its target reading behaviour. By itself, it does not demonstrate lasting improvement or transfer to other texts.

How should it be used?

Begin at a comfortable level and progress only while the task remains accurate and understandable. Reduce pace or difficulty when meaning or comfort declines.

What does this exercise not guarantee?

One round cannot guarantee a lasting increase in reading speed, a wider anatomical field of view or the same result for every text. Compare it with comprehension measured in real passages.
